After reaching the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart 14 times between 1967 and early 1974, Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin took another 11 1/2 years before achieving the feat again. Franklin’s return to the Top 10 happened with “Freeway of Love,” which exactly 30 years ago, rose to a peak position of number 3, where it would spend one week.
