In addition to producing the duo’s biggest hit, “Solid,” Ashford & Simpson‘s 1984 album of the same name also spawned two songs that bubbled underĂ‚Â Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. On this date in 1985, the first of those two songs, “Outta the World,” began its three-week stay on the Bubbling Under chart.
