DEF: Billy Squier “All Night Long”
Massachusetts-born musician Billy Squier enjoyed the biggest success of his career in 1984, when “Rock Me Tonite” rose to a peak position of number 15 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. That was, though, also, the last time Squier reached the Top 40, though he did appear on the Hot 100 four more times. The first of those additional appearances came with “All Night Long,” the followup single to “Rock Me Tonite.” On this date in 1984, “All Night Long” climbed to its peak position of number 75, where it would spend one week. Today, “All Night Long” by Billy Squier is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
