London-based band Breathe hit the Top 40 with each of the five singles they placed on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, including reaching the Top 10 in their first three appearances. On this date in 1989, the third of those Top 10 hits, “Don’t Tell Me Lies,” reached its peak position of number 10, where it would spend one week.
