DEF: Captain and Tennille “Do That To Me One More Time”

U.S. duo Captain and Tennille enjoyed significant success in the second half of the 1970s, scoring six Top 10 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, including hitting number one for four weeks with their first charting single, “Love Will Keep Us Together.” As the 1980s started, the duo were working their way toward their final Top 10 hit, and exactly 35 years ago yesterday, that single — “Do That To Me One More Time” — became their second chart-topping single, as it reached the number one position for one week.

Captain and Tennille’s “Do That To Me One More Time” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
