DEF: Cellarful of Noise “Samantha (What You Gonna Do?)”

In the mid-1980s, Mark Avsec of Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, accompanied by some members of the Cruisers among other musicians, put out a solo project under the name Cellarful of Noise, which was his nickname within music circles. The project produced one hit on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart — “Samantha (What You Gonna Do?)” — which on this date in 1988 rose to a peak position of number 69. “Samantha (What You Gonna Do?)” by Cellarful of Noise is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
