DEF: Cheap Trick “If You Want My Love”

After Rockford, Illinois-based band Cheap Trick‘s first single to peak on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the 1980s became their fourth straight Top 40 hit, the band missed the Top 40 with their next five charting singles. That included both charting singles from their One On One album.

On this date in 1982, the first of those two singles — “If You Want My Love” — was in its second week of a two-week run at a peak position of number 45. Today, Cheap Trick’s “If You Want My Love” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
