Among San Antonio-born musician Christopher Cross‘s eight Top 40 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, two climbed all the way to number one. Exactly 35 years ago, the first of those two number one hits — “Sailing” — rose to the top, where it would stay for one week.
