DEF: Deep Purple “Knocking At Your Back Door”

British band Deep Purple hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart seven times in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including three Top 40 hits, two of which rose to the top 5, as “Hush” and “Smoke On The Water” both peaked at number 4. After more than a decade off the chart, Deep Purple returned one final time in 1985 with “Knocking At Your Back Door,” and exactly 30 years ago yesterday, “Knocking At Your Back Door” hit a peak position of number 61, where it would spend two weeks.

Deep Purple’s “Knocking At Your Back Door” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
