As it became one of the most successful albums in pop music history, Def Leppard‘s 1987 album Hysteria would produce six Top 20 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Exactly 30 years ago, the first of those six hits, “Animal,” was in its second week at a peak position of number 19.
