DEF: Don Williams “I’ve Been Loved by the Best”

Country music legend Don Williams passed away yesterday at the age of 78. After hitting the Top 20 on Billboard‘s country chart with 19 of the 20 songs he placed on the chart in the 1970s, Williams continued his success in the 1980s. In that decade, all 26 of the songs Williams placed on the country chart reached the Top 20, with all but two hitting the Top 10. Williams’ final hit of the decade, “I’ve Been Loved by the Best,” reached number 4 on the country chart in December 1989.
