DEF: Dr. Hook “Sexy Eyes”

New Jersey-based band Dr. Hook reached the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart six times, and interestingly enough, every one of those six singles peaked at either number 5 or number 6. Their first and last Top 10 hits reached number 5, while the four in the middle all reached number 6. The band’s final Top 10 hit was also their only Top 10 hit of the 1980s, and exactly 35 years ago, that song — “Sexy Eyes” — climbed into its peak position, where it would spend two weeks.
