DEF: Duran Duran “The Wild Boys”
In June 1984, Duran Duran scored the first number one single of their career, as “The Reflex,” the third single from their Seven and the Ragged Tiger album, reached the pinnacle position on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for two weeks. Less than six months later, the British band released a live album, Arena, that featured one studio track, “The Wild Boys,” which would narrowly miss duplicating the chart-topping success of “The Reflex.” Exactly 30 years ago, “The Wild Boys” reached a peak position of number 2, where it would spend four weeks.
