DEF: Eddy Grant “Romancing The Stone”

Guyana-born musician Eddy Grant is most remembered for his hit “Electric Avenue,” which peaked at number 2 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in 1983.  Grant did, though, hit the Top 40 one more time.  That second Top 40 trip came a year later with his single “Romancing The Stone” from the film of the same name starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.  Exactly 30 years ago, “Romancing The Stone” rose to its peak position of number 26, where it would spend two weeks.  Today, it’s the Daily Eighties Flashback.
