DEF: Eurythmics “Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)”

Between 1983 and 1985, Eurythmics hit the Top 40 with eight of their first nine songs to chart on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. The one song in that stretch that missed the Top 40 was “Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)” from the 1984 film adaptation of George Orwell’s novel 1984. On this date that year, the song climbed to a peak position of number 81. Today, “Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)” by Eurythmics is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
