DEF: Falco “Vienna Calling”
If you grew up in the 1980s or followed popular music at all in the 1980s, you very likely remember Austrian musician Falco‘s mega-hit “Rock Me Amadeus,” which spent three weeks at number 1 in 1986.  Do you remember, though, his followup single, which also hit the Top 20?  On this date back in 1986, that followup single, “Vienna Calling,” peaked at number 18 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.
“Vienna Calling” made Falco 2 for 2 in hitting the Top 20 with his only two singles to appear on the Hot 100. Â The song is also today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
