DEF: George Michael “Hand to Mouth”

As you’ve likely already heard, George Michael passed away on Sunday at the age of 53. Michael’s career got stated and then skyrocketed in the 1980s, first as a member of Wham! and then as he began his solo career with his tremendously successful Faith album. Faith produced six Top 5 hits, including four number ones, on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. In memory of George Michael, today’s Daily Eighties Flashback is “Hand to Mouth,” a song from that album that did not reach the chart, though it was the B-side of the album’s title track, which is Michael’s biggest hit, having spent four weeks at number one.
