Baltimore-born musician Greg Kihn and his band hit the Top 20 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 twice, with a couple of singles in the early 1980s — “The Breakup Song (They Don’t Write ‘Em)” and “Jeopardy.” Between the two, the band made an appearance on the chart with “Happy Man,” which on this date in 1982 climbed to a peak position of number 62.
