DEF: Indigo Girls “Closer to Fine”

The Indigo Girls‘ self-titled 1989 album, their first album on a major record label, brought the duo to national prominence, including a nomination for best new artist at the 1990 Grammys. The album also produced the first of their two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with “Closer to Fine,” which exactly 30 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 52.
