DEF: Jackson Browne “Somebody’s Baby”
Over his illustrious career, Jackson Browne has hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart eleven times, with two of those songs hitting the Top 10. Browne’s first Top 10 hit was his first charting single, “Doctor My Eyes,” which peaked at number 8 in 1972. His second Top 10 hit was also Browne’s biggest hit, as the song “Somebody’s Baby,” which was featured in the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, peaked at number 7. On this date in 1982, “Somebody’s Baby” hit that peak position, where it would spend three weeks. Today, “Somebody’s Baby” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
