Los Angeles-born singer Karyn White garnered three Top 10 singles on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in 1989 from her self-titled debut album. After “The Way You Love Me” reached number 7, and “Superwoman” peaked at number 8, White scored the biggest of those three hits with “Secret Rendezvous.”

Exactly 25 years ago, “Secret Rendezvous” hit its peak position of number 6, making it the second-biggest hit of White’s career, second only to her number one hit “Romantic,” which would come in 1991. Today, “Secret Rendezvous” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
