DEF: Larry Graham “One In A Million You”
Beaumont-Texas born musician Larry Graham gained notoriety as the bass player for Sly & the Family Stone in the 1960s and 1970s before going on to form his own group, Graham Central Station, in the mid-1970s. By the 1980s, Graham was releasing work as a solo artist, and his first solo single to hit the Hot 100 proved to be the only Top 10 hit of his solo career. On this date in 1980, that song — “One In A Million You” — hit its peak position of number 9, where it would spend two weeks.
Today, “One In A Million You” is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
