Lee Greenwood hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot Country Singles chart with all three songs from his 1985 album Streamline that appeared on the chart. Exactly 35 years ago, the first of that trio of songs, “I Don’t Mind the Thorns (If You’re the Rose),” climbed to the top of the chart for a one-week reign.
