Glasgow, Scotland-born singer Lulu hit number one in 1967 when her title song from the film To Sir With Love spent five weeks at the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Nearly a decade and a half later, Lulu would reach the Top 20 for a second time when “I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)” peaked at number 18. On this date in 1981, “I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)” climbed to its peak position, where it would spend two weeks.
