DEF: Mac McAnally “Minimum Love”

Alabama-born musician Mac McAnally has made three appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. The third came in 2008 as a featured artist on Kenny Chesney’s version of McAnally’s 1990 song “Down the Road.” While McAnally’s original “Down the Road” reached the country chart, it was not one of his two prior appearances on the Hot 100 chart. Those two songs were “It’s a Crazy World,” which squeaked into the Top 40 in 1977, and “Minimum Love,” which came up just short of the Top 40 in 1983. On this date in 1983, “Minimum Love” climbed to a peak position of number 41. Today, “Minimum Love” by Mac McAnally is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
