A couple weeks ago, on September 21, “Cherish” by Kool and the Gang was the Daily Eighties Flashback. In 1985, that song became the first of two songs with that title to hit a peak position of number 2 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. The other came four years later when, on this date in 1989, Madonna‘s “Cherish” rose to its peak position one short of the top of the chart. “Cherish” by Madonna is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
