As a musical performer, San Diego-born Michael Damian is best known for his trio of Top 40 hits in 1989, including his remake of David Essex’s “Rock On” that hit number one. Damian did, though, have one song appear on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the early 1980s. On this date in 1981, that song — “She Did It” — climbed to a peak position of number 69.
