DEF: Michael Gore “Theme from ‘Terms of Endearment'”

In the early to mid-1980s New York City-born composer Michael Gore worked on such films as Fame, Terms of Endearment, and Pretty in Pink. With the second of those three films, Gore also garnered his only appearance on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. On this date in 1984, his “Theme from ‘Terms of Endearment'” climbed to a peak position of number 84. Today, Michael Gore’s only Hot 100 hit is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
