London-born musician Murray Head has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with two songs. The first of those songs — “Superstar,” from the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar — reached number 14 in 1971. Fourteen years later, Head topped the success of “Superstar” when he reached the Top 10 with “One Night in Bangkok.” On this date in 1985, “One Night in Bangkok” climbed to its peak position of number 3. Today, Murray Head’s biggest hit is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
