DEF: Neneh Cherry “Buffalo Stance”

Swedish-born singer and songwriter Neneh Cherry hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 twice, with two singles in 1989 from her Raw Like Sushi album.  The second of those singles, “Kisses On The Wind,” peaked at number 8, and exactly 25 years ago, the first and biggest of those two singles, “Buffalo Stance,” rose to a one-week peak position of number 3.

These two Top 10 hits were Cherry’s only singles to hit the Top 40, and “Buffalo Stance” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
