DEF: New Order “True Faith”
Manchester, England-based band New Order have hit the Top 40 twice. The first of those two hits came in late 1987/early 1988 with “True Faith” — a song that appeared on their Ceremony album as well as the soundtrack to the film Bright Lights, Big City. On this date in 1988, “True Faith” was in its second week of a two-week run at a peak position of number 32. Today, New Order’s first Top 40 hit is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
