In 1984, drummer Ollie Brown and singer Jerry Knight came together to form Ollie & Jerry and released the single “Breakin’ … There’s No Stopping Us,” which was featured in the film Breakin‘. Exactly 30 years ago, “Breakin’ … There’s No Stopping Us” peaked at number 9 on Billboard‘s Hot 100.  It was not only the duo’s only Top 10 hit; it was their only appearance on the Hot 100.
