Mississippi-born musician Paul Davis hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice. First, in 1978, he peaked at number 7 with “I Go Crazy.” Then, a little more than four years later, he scored the biggest hit of his career when “’65 Love Affair” reached number 6. On this date in 1982, “’65 Love Affair” climbed to that peak position, where it would spend two weeks.
