Following the success of his chart-topping hit “Glory of Love” that began Chicago-born singer Peter Cetera‘s solo career after leaving the band Chicago, he joined up with singer Amy Grant for the single “The Next Time I Fall.” Exactly 30 years ago, “Next Time I Fall” made it two number one singles in a row for Cetera and became Grant’s first of two number one singles as it rose to the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for a one-week stay.
