Portland, Oregon-based band Quarterflash have reached the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart three times, most notably with their first charting single, “Harden My Heart,” which peaked at number 3 in 1982. After reaching number 16 with their follow-up single, “Find Another Fool,” Quarterflash reached the Top 40 for a third time a year later with “Take Me To Heart.” On this date in 1983, “Take Me To Heart” rose to a peak position of number 14, where it would spend one week.
