DEF: Robert Palmer “Addicted to Love”
As a solo artist, British musician Robert Palmer appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart fifteen times, ranging from “Man Smart, Woman Smarter” in 1976 to “Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)/I Want You” in 1991. Amid all of those singles, Palmer’s biggest hit was his only number one hit, “Addicted to Love,” which exactly 30 years ago rose to the top of the chart for a one-week reign. To commemorate that anniversary, “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
