DEF: Robert Plant “Big Log”
Following the breakup of Led Zeppelin, lead singer Robert Plant embarked on a solo career in the 1980s that led him to four Top 40 singles on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between 1983 and 1988. The first of those singles, “Big Log,” peaked at number 20 on this date in 1983.
“Big Log” is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
Robert Plant’s solo work is underrated. It’s sort of like Phil Collins solo work away from Genesis. It’s always better when the lead singer is working with the band, but Robert’s solo work always has a groove and he still has the chops.
