After winning the male vocalist competition in the inaugural season of Star Search, Oklahoma-born singer Sam Harris made two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Between those two songs, Harris also reached the Bubbling Under chart with another song, “Hearts on Fire.” On this date in 1985, “Hearts on Fire” made its one-week appearance on the Bubbling Under chart, at number 108.
