DEF: Simple Minds “Alive & Kicking”

Glasgow-Scotland based band Simple Minds reached the Top 40 with all four of their songs that hit Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the 1980s. The first two of those singles hit the Top 5, as “Don’t You (Forget About Me”) reached number one, and the band’s followup single, “Alive & Kicking” rose to number 3. On this date in 1985, “Alive & Kicking” reached its peak position, where it would spend two weeks.
