Maryland-based group Starpoint made three appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between 1985 and 1987. The band’s biggest hit was their only Top 40 hit — their first charting single, “Object of My Desire.” On this date in 1985, “Object of My Desire” climbed to a peak position of number 25. Today, Starpoint’s biggest hit is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
