Sacramento, California-born musician Suzanne Vega‘s 1987 album Solitude Standing is best known for producing her biggest hit, “Luka,” which reached number 3 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. One more single from the album did reach the chart, though, and on this date in 1987 that song, the album’s title track, debuted at number 94, which would be its peak position.
