Among Miami-born musician Teri DeSario’s three appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, her only Top 40 hit came with the first of her two songs in which she teamed up with K.C. of K.C. and The Sunshine Band. Exactly 40 years ago, that song — “Yes, I’m Ready” — climbed to a peak position of number 2.
