DEF: The Cure “Why Can’t I Be You?”

Crawley, England-based band The Cure hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for the first time when “Just Like Heaven” squeaked into a peak position of number 40 in early 1988. “Just Like Heaven,” though, was the second charting single from the band’s 1987 album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me.
