DEF: The Escape Club “Shake For the Sheik”
London-based group The Escape Club scored the biggest hit of their career in November 1988, when “Wild, Wild West” hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. A couple months later, The Escape Club’s next single, “Shake For The Sheik,” also hit the Top 40, becoming the second of the band’s three Top 40 singles.
