DEF: The J. Geils Band “Freeze-Frame”
Massachusetts-based group The J. Geils Band hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice, with back-to-back singles from their 1981 album Freeze-Frame. In February 1982, the first of those two hits, “Centerfold,” climbed to number one. Then, on this date that same year, the album’s title track rose to a peak position of number 4.
