DEF: Tommy Page “Turning Me On”
New Jersey-born singer/songwriter and music industry executive Tommy Page passed away on Friday of an apparent suicide. Between 1989 and 1990, Page made three appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, most successfully with his song “I’ll Be Your Everything,” which spent one week at number one in 1990. His first charting single was his first Top 40 hit, “A Shoulder to Cry On,” which reached number 29 in 1989. “A Shoulder to Cry On” was the second single from Page’s self-titled debut album. The album’s first single was “Turning Me On,” which in memory of Tommy Page is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
