London-based group Wang Chung hit the Top 40 with five of the eight songs they placed on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all of which came in the 1980s. Their first Top 40 hit was their first chart appearance, with the song “Don’t Let Go.” On this date in 1984, “Don’t Let Go” climbed to a peak position of number 38.
