DEF: Whitney Houston “Do You Hear What I Hear?”

In October 1987, A&M Records released the first A Very Special Christmas album — a series of albums whose proceeds over the years have supported the Special Olympics. The series’ debut album featured the likes of Run-D.M.C., Bruce Springsteen, U2, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Bryan Adams, Sting, and many more famous artists. One song on the album that has become a standard for Christmas radio rotations since the album’s release is Whitney Houston‘s version of “Do You Hear What I Hear?” — the third track on the album. With Christmas approaching in two days, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” by Whitney Houston is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
