Consisting of children of reggae legend Bob Marley, the band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart once.  That Top 40 appearance happened when “Tomorrow People” squeaked into the Top 40 for one week at a peak position of 39. That one week occurred on this date in 1988.
