I don’t have a specific memory connected to Ellis Marsalis. The closest I come is listening his son, Branford, play the U.S. national anthem with Bruce Hornsby at Camden Yards in Baltimore on September 6, 1995, at the game in which Cal Ripken, Jr., broke Lou Gehrig’s record for most consecutive major league baseball games played.
